# How to migrate a Yeoman app to Ember CLI?

Hi, all.
I built an app, my first big Ember app, using Yeoman and its Ember generator. I’m ready to switch to Ember CLI for future development but am wondering how to move this Yeoman app over. Is it better to start from scratch? Move one file over at a time?

You might be interested in taking a look at [ember-cli-migrator](https://github.com/fivetanley/ember-cli-migrator) to help you migrate your global Ember files to ES6 module-based Ember CLI structure.
