Pivotshare, one of Southern-California’s most innovative media companies, is in immediate need of a killer Senior Front-end Engineer—somebody who will not only write clever code, but will also lead the company toward a glorious future on the wings of compliant and modern web standards, who will push for emerging development trends to ensure we use the latest and greatest, and who wants to build something he or she can be proud of. You will be an invaluable member of our team, helping shape our products and our vision. This engineer will primarily be responsible for feature development and maintenance of several Ember.js web applications as well as collaborating with the engineering and design teams to create living product specifications. Pivotshare is an active contributor to Ember.js on Github and IRC discussions.
Requirements
- Strong skills in JavaScript
- Strong skills in cross-browser HTML5 / CSS3 as well progressive enhancement strategies.
- Experience with client-side “MVC” frameworks like Ember.js, Angular, Backbone, etc.
Preferred
- Expert level grasp of Ember.js or strong desire to achieve so
- Experience with common Node.js tooling such as Grunt, Broccoli, etc
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience with Amazon Web Services
- Open source contributions

About the Product
Pivotshare helps publishers and content creators distribute and monetize their digital media. We allow our users to create online communities, which are a set of websites and applications, to showcase their media. Communities may contain video, audio and articles. They can then be used to sell content with a monthly subscription, a pay-per-view model or advertising. It’s free to get started and it can all be setup within 5 minutes. Pivotshare now supports Web, Android and iOS.
